We needed something to store our camping kitchen equipment and we also didn’t fancy cooking at ground level. After a little research I came up with this design. I like the style of campaign furniture so I built it using dovetail joints and incorporated removable legs.
Here it is in action.
This is the finished box, the legs are off to the left. They can be stored inside. They have now got pegs that hold them in place. They are fitted with retaining cords for transit.
The stove sits on the internal shelf for transit and use. It can also be used as shown in light winds.
The support brackets for the lid. These have magnetic catches for transit and fold out to allow the lid to be used as a table.
The rear legs are off set to make sure the table is properly balanced and won’t tip over.
Recessed hinges to ensure the brackets are properly supported.
